Shipping Information

Most orders are shipped via FedEx. Areas outside FedEx delivery zones are generally shipped via U.S. Mail. Oversized and overweight orders will be shipped by motor freight.

SHIP & CANCEL POLICY

Your order is packaged and shipped carefully, just for you.  When you receive it, please review your invoice.  All items in stock are shipped out to you.  Any item NOT in stock is cancelled and the customer should re-order at a later date.  We do not backorder items.

MOTOR FREIGHT

When an item is considered oversized then it is shipped using a freight line.  This can be more expensive, as extra fees are charge by the carrier for delivery.  Please read our Oversized Explanation so you can better understand these fees.

Prepaid orders (incl. MC/VISA/Discover) are the fastest and easiest. To figure shipping costs to your location, use specific shipping instructions for the items ordered. Remember to add the NC Sales tax if applicable.

framingsupplies.com Picture Frames is not liable for damage or loss in transit. If this should happen, shipment must NOT be accepted until the transportation company makes note on the bill or delivery receipt indicating the extent of the damage or shortage. File your claim directly with the carrier. To properly handle a claim, please keep all shipping cartons, packing materials and damaged merchandise for inspection by the shipper. Otherwise, the shipper may not honor your claim. Notify us that you have filed a claim with the shipper and initiate arrangements for replacement.

When you place an order with us, you will be asked for your email address.  We collect this so we may send you an Order Confirmation.  When your order ships, you will also receive your Tracking Number via email.  This will allow you to keep up with your package from the time it leaves us, until it lands at your doorstep.  We NEVER sell your email address or use it to send unsolicited messages.  Your personal information is safe with us!

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Packaging of Mat board & Foam core

Our mat board and foam core are packed with extreme care and for maximum protection. There are four steps we take to help protect the mat board from becoming damaged in shipment:

1. Boards are put in plastic bags to keep them dry and dirt-free.

2. Boards are put into cardboard boxes.

3. In most cases filler paper is put on the top, bottom and around all sides of the boards to prevent movement during shipment.

4. 3/16" thick edge board is attached around the exterior sides of the box to help keep the corners and edges from getting dented.

If "damaged in transit" should occur, file a claim with the carrier. Notify us (1-800-334-9060) that you have filed a claim with the shipper and initiate arrangements for replacements.

SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES

Domestic  (Oversize 1 and 2)

FedEx classifies long or large, but light weight packages, as "OVERSIZED" and charge more for them by both ground and air delivery. The following two charts will explain why some items are billed for shipping at a weight that is greater than the actual weight of the package.

Oversize 1 and 2 refer to packages traveling by Ground delivery:
Oversize 1

A package is considered "Oversize 1" (OS1) when all of the following conditions apply:

The package's combined length and girth exceeds 84 inches.

The package's combined length and girth is equal to or less than 108 inches.

The package's actual weight is less than 30 pounds.

For each OS1 package, the billable weight is 30 pounds.

The following directions refer to packages Shipped by Air:
Domestic Shipments  (Dimensional Weight)
FedEx Next Day Air
FedEx 2nd Day Air
1. Determine actual weight. - Weigh the box
2. Determine dimensional weight.

Multiply the package length by the width by the height. For each measurement, round off any fraction the nearest whole inch. The result is the cubic size. If this number is 1,728 inches or less, use the actual weight in your rate calculation. If this number is more than 1,728 inches, divide the cubic size by 194 to determine dimensional weight in pounds. Increase any fraction to the next pound.

3. Determine billable weight.

Compare each  package's actual weight to its dimensional weight. The larger of the two weights is the billable weight and should be used to calculate the rate.
